Ok, say I invest in a penny share buying 10,000 shares of stock at {content}.0007 and for some reason the stock market went crazy and by noon it was at . Now I am sitting on ,000 and want to sell it. I am using sharebuilder. If I go to the site and hit sell, Other than the trade fee, is there any sort of commission percentage that they get? Do I owe anything other than the .95 that they charge to make the transaction?

  1. BKK910 says:

No, all they get is the commission fee for a stock order, though you will have to pay a capital gains tax to the government at the end of the year.

In my country, stamp duty and contract fees are charged. If I were you, I will just sell the stock off. Later, when they send me the transaction statement, I will find that out from there. I should not worry because whatever possible charges will be insignificant if I get such return as 1428% (from $1/$0.0007).
